We saw at first hand the effects of Hurricane Irma in September 2018, and dodged a bullet with a “near miss” with Hurricane Matthew the previous year.   So we know its important we make sure you know the importance of “being prepared” during Hurricane season which began on June 1 and ends on November 30.   Peak period is from mid August to the end of September.

If there is a risk of a hurricane affecting your vacation we will tell you as soon as we can and inform you about  what we will do and what we expect you to do.   Its all about keeping you safe!

The Kissimme Utility Authority (KUA) have published a detailed guide to hurricane preparedness and we encourage you to have a look at this if you can.   You can access this here.

Another great source of information is the National Hurricane Center.

Here you will see how a potential tropical storm or hurricane develops, whether it starts out as a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico or off the coast of West Africa!
